Carol Tunisian is getting the Senior Center ready for the Christmas Ball when she discovers the body of a local man who was camping out in the center rather than wintering in Texas as everyone had believed. Why was he there? And what happened to him? Was he the one who trashed the Senior Center or had his killer done the deed?

Early on, I found the switch in main characters for the novellas to be a bit confusing but after reading 11 books in the series it's actually kind of fun to have a new perspective. It's also fun that Allie is now staying on the island year-round and we get to see a glimpse of the setting during the winter time when us tourists can't get there. The investigation in this story was fun, though a few of the things that happened seemed to be recycled from previous books (though if it ain't broke maybe it doesn't need fixin'?) This is a great series and I absolutely love the setting. Definitely one to read if you haven't already!
